Every year the museum hosts an international art exhibit showcasing altars from different artists to remember those who are no longer living among us. The museum also hosts a community festival and invites all attendees to learn and celebrate with activities at the National Museum of Mexican Art.
Families and individuals are invited to create their own ofrendas (Day of the Dead altars) on the Harrison Park soccer field.
